Mallory Emerson
(she/her)
Full Spectrum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Advocate & Consultant
Hello! I am a birth doula and childbirth educator in Central New York. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I began my career in birth work in the Pacific Northwest and relocated back to the east coast (where I grew up) in 2021!
I have been working with families since 2014 and completed my initial birth doula training in 2018. I have since completed a Birthing Advocacy Full Spectrum Doula training and am a PALS Certified Birth Doula as well as a BADT Certified Full Spectrum Doula.
I adore teaching new families, and completed training through the Simkin Center, certified with Great Starts in the PNW, completed a Passion for Birth Lamaze workshop, am an Evidence Based Birth Professional Member, and am continuously expanding my learning through continuing education.
I currently teach group & private birth classes, serve clients as a birth doula, volunteer with Planned Parenthood and have been a contributing writer on the Lamaze blog “Connecting the Dots”.
I love to read, write, create art, craft, organize, cook (and eat!). It is important to me to be actively involved in my communities, so you can often find me volunteering at my kids’ elementary school, meeting up with friends, volunteering with organizations that are important to me, and seeking out trainings and conferences as often as possible!
I believe that all birthing people deserve to be respected, cared for, safe, and trusted during their pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum recovery. My goal as a childbirth professional is to hold space for parents to get the support they need during these big transitions in their lives. This support looks different for everyone, and I strive to personalize the experience with the families I am connected with, or to refer directly to birth support that may be a better fit.
